If it were obvious from the outside that it is a haunted house, we would not have bought it in the first place, right?

From some slight paranormal activity to a severely haunted house. Hauntings can come in many forms.

There are many reasons why a house can show signs of activity. It may just very well be an old resident that still is around. Harmless and maybe even in a state of confusion. Unaware that he has passed. Most people would not even notice he is there.

Then there are houses whose walls would tell a different tale it they could speak. Tales of a more grim past. Where acts of violence, perhaps even murder came in to play. That bitter cold and eerie silent room that never seems to heat up, which still whispers the word "suicide".

To add more mystery to it all, it might as well have nothing to do with the history of the building. It could be caused by someone who played with an ouija board or used some other means to try and contact the other side.

In fact, it could even have nothing to do with your house at all. The house was just built in an affected area, in a haunted forrest for example. They just might be as surprised about your presence as you are about theirs.
